Exciting Programs of 2021-22
Animation – A special program offered by Scholastica where Tech Academy helps students develop 21st-century skills in Animation by designing 3D objects, making and animating characters and objects, designing complete 3D worlds, storytelling, and modeling for 3D printing or game assets.
Game Development – An outstanding program offered by Scholastica where Tech Academy helps students learn what they love to do. They develop skills in making game world, animating players, coding game behavior and player, making multiple levels in games, and adding sound effects in games. Students will learn the user interface of Godot in-depth to understand all the available features and assets.
Drama – The drama program allows students to explore some basic skills of stage performance and develop the confidence to showcase their performance. They learn skills to work in a team with others should be the first objective while acquiring knowledge of expressive storytelling through developing performance skills.
Modern and Folk Dance – The Modern and Folk dance program helps students foster appreciation and celebration of their own cultures and other cultures. They learn to develop physicality and fitness. The program helps enrich the knowledge of different dance styles and forms and for their varied cultural and historical contexts. Moreover, they develop skills in communication, collaboration, teamwork, leadership.
Simply Music – The simply Music program creates a musical environment for the students so that they can show their interest in music. Students get the opportunity to make a music group and can easily participate in any program at school. The program gives skills to perform on stage by using proper instruction and to explore their talent in music by composing a performance.
Cooking – The cooking program develops students’ interest in exploring cooking as an important life skill and applying the knowledge of nutrition in preparing healthy food to lead a healthy life. Students get the opportunity to contribute to their own families as well as the community/ underprivileged children living in the neighborhood. It builds students as confident lifelong learners.
House of Writers – The house of writers is an exclusive writing program for students where they will develop skills in appreciating writers and learning and researching the writing techniques. Students will get the opportunity to Contribute to school newsletters, yearbook, and School Facebook posts and generate write-ups.
The Page Turners – The page turners program develops students’ interest in reading books. Students’ are able to enrich their ability to appreciate and interpret books, literature, language, learning, and gaining knowledge. They also enhance their skills in comprehension, imaginative and creative writing skills, vocabulary, cognitive, analytical skills, etc. Students are able to understand and appreciate the different genres of literature and literary novels and books. They get the opportunity to be creative and self-expression via story writing and comprehension.
Debate and Public Speaking – The debate and public speaking program allows students to research various topics and find out constructive information from their conducted research. They learn to develop arguments from their point of view and provide evidence of their reasoning. The program creates the technical platform for conducting research and learn how to take a stand on their own opinion with valid evidence by collecting evidence from different points of view. Also, they learn to reason from conducted research.
Campus Journalism – In campus journalism, students learn the importance of journalism. They are shown the varied methods and ways to explore the different career opportunities and paths in pursuing journalism. Students also get to explore the effective use of technology and beginner software programs to create digital publications. The program helps learn the mechanics of news story writing and develop expertise in writing journalistic articles.
Math – The math program can have an immense effect on the academics of the students. It teaches students to apply mathematical reasoning to solve problems. Develop students’ positive attitude towards math and encourages and enable students to enjoy mathematics and develop patience and persistence when solving problems.
ScholArtists – The Scholartists art program helps develop students’ interest in art and to appreciate and interpret art. Students get the opportunity to develop fine motor skills, learn art using different techniques and media. Moreover, students enrich their ability for artistic expression.
DIY Home Décor – The DIY Home décor program helps students develop skills in arts and crafts. They will explore various techniques and media to create artistic objects for home décor. This will allow them to enrich fine motor skills and learn how to use a variety of materials for creating art.
Designer’s Lounge – The designer’s program interests students in fashion. Students will develop an understanding of the role of apparel in individual self-expression, and in cultural expression to create something unique. They will research design and color trends and predictions for each season. Also, they will learn the process of fashion design from inspiration, sketching, constructing the garment, documenting it, and then sharing it through a fashion show. Students will have fun at this club while learning about this art form.
ECO Green – The ECO Green program helps develop learners’ interest in the environment and its importance. It empowers students to participate and take up meaningful environmental activities and projects. Guides students to understand how our environment is currently in danger and that it needs immediate protection. Gives students the confidence to stand up for the environment. Overall, guides students to contribute to the protection of the environment as well as learning the aesthetics of decorating our recyclables.
Cub Scouts – The Cub Scouts program helps develop a sense of self-discipline, community service, love of nature, survival skills, and adventure amongst the students. They learn how to enhance leadership skills through exploring the history of Scouts, teamwork, and various life skills.
